Paper Abstract:      Nowadays, many traditional user interfaces have evolved towards “distributed" user ones. Furthermore, the proliferation of mobile devices with increasing functionality and computing power allows interaction elements can be distributed among heterogeneous devices from different platforms, supporting interaction with one or many users. In this paper we present a new HTTP-Based framework for generating and distributing UI’s (User Interfaces) of custom applications, through a wide variety of desktop and mobile devices. We use a schema-based definition of DUI’s (Distributed User Interfaces), allowing the specification of the elements to be distributed and the definition of constraints on the distribution process itself. The developed framework is based on open standards and supporting any UIDL (User Interface Description Language Interface). We provide a graphical application example based on the new W3C HTML5 standard.
