This reflection paper briefly discusses the initial work done on governance and control structures for Information Technology Service Operations Management. It adapts the Viable System Model (VSM) of Stafford Beer to outline the structures in the context of Information Technology Service Operations management. The structures are operations, coordination, command and control, intelligence and policy corresponding to System 1 to System 5 of Viable System Model of Stafford Beer. |
