Paper Abstract:      Metamodels specify syntax and semantic of models and are used to improve software development by automating transformation process and also to improve retro-engineering. What will avoid ad hoc implementations. In this paper, we outline ideas to bridge MDA space to grammar space where it is noticed that exist many similarities between context-free grammars and metamodels. The idea is to infer a context-free grammar from a MOF metamodel. The usefulness of such an approach is underlined by the importance of automating transformation models in the MDA context by applying the techniques of formal languages theory.
