Paper Abstract:      This article presents results from a case study on the development and administration of a distance education course in the area of Environmental Comfort for undergraduates in architecture programs from Brazilian universities. Two findings deserve attention. The first one refers to the strong correlation between the desired educational approach and the elearning environment’s digital resources (in this case the TelEduc environment). The second is the integration of practical exploratory activities and collaboration between students and students-teachers. The study shows that while exploration allows the proposal and testing of hypotheses by the learner, oriented collaboration during experimentation, and over shared findings, allows reflection and revision of understandings. This process unleashes the establishment of new relations and promotes the search for new contents, fundamental aspects of the formation of future architects and engineers
