Paper Abstract:
|
This work aimed to characterize how Facebook stimulates the affective responses of its members during the interaction. The adopted methodology consisted of an approach that initially used the Semiotic Inspection Method (SIM) to identify the proposal and the strategies adopted by the Facebook designer to enhance the affectibility in his interface and interaction model. Subsequently, a questionnaire was applied to Facebook users in order to investigate whether the affectibility proposal of this social network reflects in a more affective interaction. Through the results, it was possible to demonstrate that the Facebook designer adopts affectibility strategies that, in the users point of view, contribute to stimulate emotions and positive feelings during the use of this network. These results are relevant because they reinforce the importance of adopting affectibility strategies in the interface and interaction model of online social networks. |
