Paper Abstract:
|
Programming exercises have become more widely implemented at universities and other educational institutions.
In programming exercises, it is necessary for professors to effectively instruct learners depending on the situations of
individual learners. However, under the restriction of a small number of professors handling a large number of learners, it
is difficult to fully grasp the situation of individual learners. In particular, the direction to construct a program (called
programming logic) differs by individual learners even for the same challenge in the exercise. In this research, we have
been aiming at developing methods for automatically estimating programming logics of individual learners from their
incomplete source codes. This paper mainly describes methods for logic estimation on the basis of analyzing syntax trees.
Finally, we describe experiments using the prototype and discuss the features of our methods. |
