Paper Abstract:      This paper deal with the topic of Admission Control (AC) in Internet Protocol (IP) networks and presents admission controller (ACr) that is combining information gained through traffic descriptor of the sources and performance measurement. It combines the Equivalent Capacity Method (ECM) and the concept of Virtual Link Capacity (Cv). Cv is used instead of the Link Capacity (Clink) in the admission process. The result is a higher utilization and no loss on the link. The results show, that the maximum utilization can be as much as 89% of the maximal link capacity and 20.8% better, than the utilization achieved by the ECM. Such a admission controller using fuzzy logic could be a part of a possible framework for implementation of AC in IP networks. Simulation results and possibilities for improvement are discussed at the end of the article.
