Paper Abstract:      Empowering an educational community through using multimedia files and tools in combination with mobile learning concept and actions, including digital devices, is related to the development of an ongoing learning experience based on the convergence of education, arts, culture, science, technology and one-to-one mobile computing prototype educational experience that within a broad view has brought about stimulating individuals’ collaborative and mobile learning situations at school and surround community, contributing to the approximation and cooperative development actions between basic and higher education. The combination of diverse knowledge and human actions has led to decrease the digital divide across improving traditional and digital literacy of a community located in the periphery of the city of São Paulo. The learning experiences have stimulated individuals’ educational interdisciplinary work and social interactions supported by school computers lab, personal desktops, affordable laptops, several multimedia digital resources, and low cost mobile computing equipments, having as a consequence individuals’ knowledge, cognition, perception and digital domain enhancements, as well as contributing for developing citizens’ lifelong learning skills and sharing knowledge.
