Paper Abstract:
|
Although ICT health solutions have been expanding for several decades, their economic evaluation remains rare and few of existing studies have accounted for the wide range of economic (costs/benefits) and social indicators. Indeed, before promoting the implementation and expansion of ICT programs throughout the Health care system, it is important to evaluate their economic viability and feasibility. The aim of this short paper is to design, experiment and validate an efficiency evaluation methodology framework throughout StreamVisions Check@flash case study in order to demonstrate the usefulness of economic evaluation for the decision making process of different stakeholders. To develop a more comprehensive method of evaluation, we mobilize a cost analysis based approach adding a social dimension with the analysis of stakeholders involvement based on a preliminary functional analysis of the system studied. |
