Paper Abstract:      The development of Information Economy depends on the existence of adequate skills for using and developing Information and Communication Technologies (ICT). In last decades ICT skills supply and demand remains an ever green issue in many European Union (EU) member states. The dialogue of leading stakeholders in Europe has resulted in developing European E-Competence Framework which facilitates the design of courses and programmes for building ICT skills required by industry. What is the situation in Bulgaria in this regard? Are universities ready to supply the skills needed by local industry? Are industrial stakeholders involved in skills supply-demand dialogue and follow-up actions? – These are the main questions addresses in this paper on bases of research of recent trends in the EU and in Bulgaria.
