Paper Abstract:
|
This paper presents two different approaches to e-learning, which have been implemented in the School of Geography,
University of Leeds. The first is largely characterized by the direct transfer of traditional face-to-face approaches to an elearning
environment but has evolved over time to include more dialogue and interaction. The second approach has
resulted from a partnership with the UKeUniversities, where collaboration and interaction have had much greater
prominence in the development of the programme from the beginning. The two approaches are contrasted from a
pedagogical, technological and operational perspective, and suggestions are made for improving future practice. |
