Paper Abstract:      The Internet has quickly spread to all areas of human activities. In recent years, a variety of e-services is rapidly being developed in Estonia. The field of education is not an exception. E-learning and e-education materials and methods are being developed and it brings changes to the way the courses in universities and schools are held. At the same time, for several countries research shows decrease in the level of computer skills in schools. In-depth research has been performed in the US, CSTA and in the UK. The situation is similar in Estonian schools, and this significantly affects the computer-related courses at universities. Notable variation in students’ knowledge and skills forced teachers of computer science to seek new forms of teaching didactics. An important solution in this quest is the flexible learning which is mainly based on e-learning.
