Paper Abstract:      In response to new economic demands and technological innovations, European educational institutions are changing with respect to styles of training and teaching methodologies. Against this backdrop of globalisation of learning, more companies are looking to e-Learning as a solution to distribute information and notes and to offer teaching in a truly international medium. Furthermore, on the one hand, various multinational companies are issuing their own internationally recognised certificates, whilst on the other countries in Europe are striving to adopt international standards for educational qualifications. This paper considers the case of Maltese education market, which has long been a hotbed of economic activity, albeit most of this activity being based on standard traditional tuition. Since e-Learning may be able to meet current market requirements, the question asked in this research is whether institutions and companies involved in the Maltese training market are ready to adopt educational technologies.
