Paper Abstract:      Knowledge management is an approach that some e-commerce companies use to deal with knowledge. Unfortunately, it is very difficult to find a full description of a methodology of KM implementation that would support specific conditions in various branches, including e-commerce. The main reason is that similar methodologies are usually part of companie’s know how secret or intellectual property. This causes that individual organizations develop their own methodology. The Faculty of Informatics and Management of the University of Hradec Kralove (FIM UHK), Czech Republic, belongs among them. Although the methodology called KM-Beat-It is still in the phase of development, the main goal of this paper is a brief description of this methodology, delineation of its single parts, and depiction of its potential benefits for e-commerce companies.
