Paper Abstract:
|
This paper highlights one of the most relevant issues on social media: the increasing malicious use of fake identities, particularly to post spam. First, we provide a brief overview of some of the literature work that has been proposed for the detection of fake accounts on different Online Social Networks (OSNs). We are interested in the use of machine learning approaches for this problem, and we discuss particularly the performance of the literature learning features in different scenarios. Second, we discuss the case of spammers on Facebook. We present some ideas on how we can reduce the problem of spammers to increase the users experience and safety on the worlds most popular OSN. |
