Paper Abstract:
|
This paper presents a model of a system for identifying the small components parts, which can be applied in various industries. The objective of this study is to use Image Processing System (IPS) and Artificial Neural Networks (ANN) with feed forward structure to detect, and recognize different parts on a conveyor belt. In the proposed model we have used appropriate method of edge detection (Laplace and Soble). The edge detection can be realized using artificial neural network with noise. The paper emphasizes the implementation of the model considering functionality, parts images, accurate detection and identifying of the small component parts. The result shows that the model can detect moving objects (bolt, nut and screwdriver) accurately on the belt conveyor and sort them accordingly as required for the application. |
