Paper Abstract:      Nowadays, there are many applications that take advantage of the availability of three-dimensional (3D) data sets. Multiresolution modelling, which allows an object to be represented by set of approximations, each with a different number of polygons, has been successfully presented as a solution for the efficient manipulation of this type of data. This paper presents influence of individual blocks of lifting scheme on the resulting multiresolution representation of irregular, triangle surface meshes. This solution is based on complete lifting scheme as a second generation wavelet construction tool. Also new propositions of methods which can be used as lifting scheme blocks to wavelet-based multiresolution decomposition and reconstruction of surface mesh are described.
