Paper Abstract:      The aim of this paper is exploring effective Information Systems course design and teaching strategies. The paper provides a reflective, discursive document which demonstrates the important relationships between the teaching objectives, approaches, teaching and learning activities and outcomes. Two case studies were conducted between 2004 and 2006. Two areas are described and evaluated. These include: (1) innovative and effective course design (use of technology – Video Conferencing Learning (VCL)), and (2) teaching strategies (Feedback Teaching Methods (FTM) and Constructive Self-Regulating (CSR) learning).
