Paper Abstract:
|
A reflexively populated 3D information space is a collaborative 3D virtual environment which organises information
spatially. Its spatial structures and formal attributes have an impact on usersÂ’ information-seeking activities, and they
adapt to reflect patterns of such activities. This paper comprises two parts. The first part introduces notions and design
issues related to the concept of reflexively populated 3D information space, and the second part presents the underlying
concepts, design, and findings of TimePlace, a prototype made in the light of such a concept. |
