Paper Abstract:      Mobile Learning (mLearning) is becoming an important tool for delivering educational content for both undergraduate and graduate students in major universities worldwide. We have shown that the use of mLearning resources with educational purposes has a positive effect so to improve students’ skills to solve specific problems as well as to develop their ability to understand physical concepts. In this paper we present a formal evaluation process for mLearning resources based on a Pre-Test and Post-Test assessment tool applied to both a Focus and a Control group, for physics courses at the Tecnológico de Monterrey, Campus Ciudad de México, for a total sample of N = 123 students. The Focus group had access to the mLearning resources, while the Control group did not. We found that the integrated learning gain for the Focus group is about 20% larger than for the Control group. We also applied a survey to find out student learning styles, and we found that the use of mLearning resources increased the learning gain of Active learners by 33%, of Visual learners by 19% and of Global learners by 37%. We also found that Visual learners got learning gains two times larger than Verbal learners. The dominant learning styles among our student samples are: Active (75%), Visual (93%) and Sequential (78%). This study helps us to improve our mLearning resources design process in order to be more efficient for students with different learning styles.
