Paper Abstract:      Nowadays working/researching groups are geographically distributed but are not locality independent. Former papers [Iborra, 2005] shown that the main factors for the knowledge acquisition process are: a virtual classroom, good coordination between the members, communication channels and independent of the architecture access. Document/report joint generation appears to be the best knowledge holder, helping in the determination of the milestones for the group and working as the affective bind between the members. The present paper focuses on the document edition functionalities. The aim of the present work is to propose the architecture of a platform independent system (CUEREG) to allow geographically distributed working groups to diminish the effects of distance without adding complexity (ubiquitous system). CUEREG works with the different document states and with the roles of the users, and allows for a concurrent document edition. XML format shows to be the best for the interchange information process between the members of the working group and for the document repository.
