Paper Abstract:      With careful planning and administration, groupware encourages collaborative learning even in a large lecture type class. Microsoft Sharepoint is a groupware with flexible framework design which support collaborative learning. For instance, it allows university instructors to create group sites within the main framework. It can also be used to share recently developed light weight 3D data among users. In our study, we have applied this feature to a large lecture type course and managed student group works. A questionnaire was administered at the end of the semester to evaluate the perceptions of the students. We will not only show how we have managed the course using the groupware system; but also, demonstrate how it can be applied in collaborative learning to support content creation. We will present how students in a university lecture course called "Computer Modeling" have collaboratively created 3D contents of World Heritage Sites using 3D worksheets.
