Paper Abstract:      As technology evolves, it becomes more capable of solving a larger variety of problems. This document describes a system projected with the objective to facilitate the work of health care professionals and increase patient’s treatment quality. The system will be able to automatically administer two drugs (nitroglycerin and nitroprusside) on patients with mitral regurgitation (cardiac pathological entity) depending on their actual need for treatment according to the hospital’s protocol. The Software will be the system’s component where the innovation and original content will be explored. It will have to identify the patient’s need for treatment; react in real time; know the effects that the administered drugs will have on the patient (using in part artificial intelligence algorithms); and know when the patient is on a stable condition (amongst other characteristics). This system is designed to interact with the health care professionals, using their knowledge in all phases of the treatment.
