Paper Abstract:      Employing the alternate integral formulation of random testing, we have extended the current framework to include also posterior evaluations of new operational profiles for already carried out test suites. While this new extension offers simplified evaluations and quality estimations, we furthermore put forward an approximate evaluation technique based on Lagrange’s interpolation theorem. Calculating K+1 parameters, it becomes possible to evaluate all polynomial operational profiles of rank≤K exactly while approximating remaining profile categories with high accuracy. This eliminates the current need to keep the original test input and results, hence making post-treatment of profiles and storage of test data from larger software projects much more practical. Additionally is a small empirical evaluation of the technique included for illustration.
