Paper Abstract:      Successful collaboration in collaborative networks calls for network participants who are well informed about the many aspects of networks. This includes information about the network strategy, the members, the current network status, and collaborative business processes. Otherwise, a network can be threatened by distrust between the participating members and/or distrust to the idea and outcome of the network which can lead to a difficult collaboration climate in the network. Despite their natural interest in being well informed about all the different aspects of the network often limited resources e.g. time restrictions of the participants prevent reaching an appropriate level of shared information. An information provisioning service can offer a solution to this problem and through the obtained well informed network participants promote a prospering collaboration climate within the network. We present in this paper a conceptual framework for information provision in networks and a system model for a corresponding service. The system approach is based on combining and elaborating solutions from the areas of knowledge management, semantic data modeling, business process monitoring, and electronic publishing.
