Paper Abstract:      In this paper, we present a methodological solution for the quality assessment and validation of web sites. This method’s main feature is the introduction of a lightweight and systematic approach to the validation of different aspects related to web quality (not being limited only to the best known ones as usability or accessibility, but also undertaking others as performance, security or functionality). The most outstanding property of the method is that it was developed taking into consideration that the process itself must be easily adaptable to any kind of web site; this was achieved due to the use of requirements and/or design guidelines that must be previously put into context, taking as a basis the characteristics or facets that the application to assess presents. Finally, we provide an overview of the features of a software tool that will support and help to implement this validation process, as well as the results of our first experiments and derived conclusions.
