Paper Abstract:
|
A Web-based computer simulator has been developed which equips visualization and communication support in order to
provide an effective learning environment for Computer Architecture. Our simulator can help learners to understand how
a computer works graphically with its visualization function. In addition, with its communication function, it can
facilitate learners to perform information exchanging and/or asynchronous information sharing between its users
(including an instructor). This paper describes requirements for a special-purpose information server for our visual
simulator and how to implement it for Computer Architecture Education. Through a real education, it is evaluated and
confirmed that such a server is useful and essential to support several functions of visual simulator to provide
visualization and communication efficiently. |
