Paper Abstract:      Continuous monitoring of aquatic ecosystems requires solutions that overcome the limitations of traditional methods in terms of coverage, timeliness, and data quality. EcoMonitoring introduces an integrated system consisting of an autonomous electric-powered aquatic drone that transports a smart buoy equipped with physico-chemical sensors and wave motion detection systems. The system performs on-site measurements and processes them locally using embedded technologies, transmitting data in real time via LTE or LoRa networks, depending on availability. One of the system's key strengths lies in its ability to combine field-collected data with SAR and optical satellite imagery, enabling multi-level analysis that integrates local observations with large-scale insights. The data are stored in a cloud-based data lake, supported by an automated pipeline for the generation of dynamic dashboards, geoportals, and predictive models. The platform, designed with a modular and scalable architecture, allows for the configuration of alert thresholds and the timely generation of notifications in case of anomalous conditions. Initial experimental tests have demonstrated the robustness of the system in complex operational scenarios. The contribution of this work lies in the development and validation of an integrated, replicable technological solution, suitable for various environmental contexts, with significant implications for the sustainable management of water resources and the mitigation of environmental risks.
