Paper Abstract:      In this paper, in order to deal with the problems caused by educating engineers of embedded software in traditional classroom style, the authors changed the traditional model of learning into the e-learning model which is much more popular today. Considering the problems in the previous teaching experience and the particularity of embedded software education, we built a prototype system with basic functions and applied it in practice to an embedded operating system (OS) education for embedded software engineers. According to the feedback of the practice and the recognition of existing problems, we propose some enhancements to construct and provide a system for learning the embedded software. In this environment only a computer and an internet connection are needed. Teachers and the learners can grasp the study status of the learner and get prompt and effective feedback from the system. The system can be applied not only for short-term training, but also for self-study where learners are able to learn all by themselves even without the help of the embedded hardware environment.
