Paper Abstract:      Information retrieval in scientific databases is not a trivial task, especially when it contains biological data. Following the emergence of several scientific databases with public information on the Web, new ways of interaction are required. The purpose of this research is to find new alternatives for exploring data in a quick, intuitive and simple way, without a pre-existing knowledge of data, complexity or of the internal structure of a database. Our approach consists of adding two new layers to the traditional Web architecture and creating a navigation map on interface to explore specialized microbial information within a complex database.
