Paper Abstract:
|
In a former work we built a Resource Description Framework (RDF)-based semantic data model for the Harmonized Survey on Households Living Standards (HSHLS), which is the main household statistical survey conducted by French-speaking countries in West and Central Africa since the year 2018. In this paper, we propose and test an approach to enhance the HSHLS data validation mechanism through logical programming, implemented using Prolog language. We integrate the RDF-based semantic data model into SWI-Prolog, a Prolog environment, and build a knowledge base focused on data validation by setting rules using directly the information contained in the integrated RDF model. This hybrid approach leverages the power of RDF and Prolog and facilitates reasoning and data consistency control. |
