Paper Abstract:      This paper proposes an approach for encrypting XML documents. Such an approach combines the strength of the elliptic curve cryptography (ECC) and chaos to overcome the problem of the allocating secret keys and to make fast encryption mechanism. In this work, we use the ECC technique for two purposes. First, it is used to generate and allocate secret keys. Second, it is used to generate digital signature. Then, we use chaos technique to encrypt the XML documents using those secret keys. The proposed approach is implemented and the experimental result demonstrates its practicality.
