Paper Abstract:      While today’s outdoor location is well accomplished using GPS and other methods, indoor mobile location still needs further studies and improvements. Most of the techniques available today cannot be generalized and used in any environment without a thorough prior study of the signal propagation and mapping, and current outdoor location techniques are not good enough for this purpose. Many models achieve a good accuracy, but do not reduce your work if you try to deploy the same technique in an environment with similar characteristics. Thus, the work that could be reduced becomes redundant, requiring the same steps to deploy to a similar location site. Therefore, we propose a model in which, if we have already implemented the model in a given environment, and we need to replicate it in places with similar characteristics (other floors in the same building, or in other buildings with the same characteristics), the initial work of implementation can be greatly reduced. Our initial results show an average accuracy of about 5 meters in areas “well served” by access points, and 15m in areas where access point signals are very poor. Furthermore, this solution can facilitate the use of Location Based Services (LBS) in various types of indoor environments, reducing the deployment costs.
