Paper Abstract:      In wireless sensor networks, it is not easy to provide stringent security mechanism due to the limited capabilities of tiny sensor nodes. Many key management schemes have been proposed but they are still not suitable for wireless sensor networks in terms of efficiency. In this paper, we propose a cluster key management scheme based on time value. Our scheme requires a little key space and low communication cost and it is simple and practical. In order to guarantee the randomness of the generated keys, we utilize time errors of sensor nodes. The keys can provide resilience against node capture attacks. Our scheme shows the performance improvement without losing security.
