Paper Abstract:
|
The support of human creativity by information and communication technology is an important and interesting area of
research. The existing research literature on creativity offers no clear indisputable theories or models to guide us. Our
approach to this complex problem has been to go back to first principles and study examples of creativity in action. In
this paper we present a case study of the creative practice of the Irish artist Enda ODonoghue. His work is particularly
interesting because of the way it straddles the digital-atomic border. His creative practice involves not only manipulating
paint atoms but also manipulating digital bits. |
