Paper Abstract:      Most Universities now use the Internet as the de-facto medium for publishing course information. Students expect to see all the course material such as lecture notes and assignments on the web. Yet, for a variety of reasons, mobile Internet or WAP has not been widely used for teaching purposes. This paper describes a WAP-based teaching infrastructure that not only disseminates course information but also supports a limited-form of interactive learning. The system is able to disseminate student-specific information and course-specific information. Student-specific information gives students access to their individual assignment, test, and examination results. Course-specific information relates to course details and is common to the entire class. The system also supports anonymous feedback on the course. The system is generalized so that it can be used by several courses with little change to the infrastructure.
