Paper Abstract:
|
This paper introduces recent research into providing a suitable online environment for Aboriginal knowledge sharing.
While broader issues of trust and access to the technology, as well as the need for basic skills in technology are areas of
concern, we focus on providing the syntax of information linkage and protocol of information sharing that will enable
Australian Aboriginal people to manage their knowledge online in a trusted environment. This work aims to retain oral
records in a form that is suitable for ongoing education of future generations in both collective memory and their resultant
individual identity. |
