Paper Abstract:      In this paper, we propose a new fusion scheme for multi-focus images based on global decisive locations. A new focus measure is proposed to identify which pixels in the source images can be included in the resultant image. To achieve a better fusion result, our new focus measure evaluates the focus weights for those global decisive locations within a dynamic focus-measuring window. With our new focus measure, the problem of fake edge points caused by blurring effect which may lead to bad fused result can be reduced. Experimental results show that our fusion scheme outperforms other eight existing fusion methods in terms of PSNR.
