Paper Abstract:      In this paper we propose an annotation-driven approach in support to multimedia retrieval and argue that under a number of different scenarios, this is very effective for semantically meaningful search. Our method is applied at the e-Learning context where very often a large number of multimedia objects and information sources are used in combination. The annotation vocabulary and relations between topics in the vocabulary and in the corpus to be annotated are based on Wikipedia.
