Paper Abstract:      This paper presents ongoing work on the design, development and evaluation of multimedia learning objects for mobile phones. Underpinning research data shows the value of this to students. The design issues raised in developing prototype learning objects are discussed, along with the resulting solutions. The development process is outlined, and a refined prototype has been evaluated by students, who have given very positive feedback, indicating that there is great potential in providing multimedia learning objects for students to use on mobile phones. Suggestions for further developing this work are discussed in the conclusion.
