Paper Abstract:      The digital divide from a global perspective has an impact on some, less developed, countries. However, also within Western countries some groups of people have less access to the Internet and other information and communication technologies and therefore develop less media competencies. One of these groups is marginalized young people who often have only random access to these technologies, except to mobile phones. Taking into account this fact, within our study needs and characteristics of marginalized young people as well as deduced user requirements for mobile communities and learning modules were analyzed.
