Paper Abstract:      This paper describes a laptop program established by the Faculty of Education at the University of Wollongong in NSW Australia to support pre-service teachers’ learning with ICTs. The discussion focuses on the learning needs of students recognizing that pedagogies for teachers faced with laptop learners also require planned support and consideration (Campbell & Pargas, 2003). Issues related to laptop use in higher education are explored and a framework is given for proposed research on the program and community.
