Paper Abstract:
|
This paper presents a Coherent Content Interaction system empowering the presenter to make more engaging presentations for remote audiences. The CoCoIn system integrates the presenter into a virtual slide world environment that is prepared with intelligent objects and that allows the presenter to freely interact with these objects. It requires the presenter to adapt the traditional way of designing the presentation by taking into account not only the content, but also the way of presenting the content. The system was used and evaluated in a town hall meeting. The results show that this kind of coherent presentation experience is very well accepted by audiences. It helps the audiences to focus more on the presentation and understand the content better. The results also show the concern of people regarding the adoption of this new way of presenting causing extra burden for the presenter. This concern is a topic for future research. |
