Paper Abstract:      The development of applications by extracting and merging data from multiple sources has become a prominent research area. To enrich information resources provided by cooperative information systems, we increasingly need to use semi-structured data available on Web. Beside traditional data sources, the Web is flooded by a large amount of electronic data which are largely under-tapped. Majority of these data are intended for end-users and they are suited neither to machines nor to automatic treatments. In this paper, we propose an architecture that makes querying more efficient by modeling data sources and related queries as data-providing services as well as an approach to combine and/or to compose the content of these data sources. We propose to alleviate the selection issue by evaluating the contribution of selected data-providing services in order to assess the semantic coverage of the concepts used by a query process.
