Paper Abstract:      More than ever before, organisations nowadays are faced with an environment characterised by complexity, unpredictability and uncertainty. We see two major shortcomings of many current approaches of enabling organisations to adapt under these conditions: The proposed processes and systems often do not deal with the whole context surrounding organisations and still follow rather deliberate approaches when dealing with strategy and decisions. Technology is usually perceived as an enabler of social driven change. We argue for a view of technology as a mediator between different elements and sub-systems of organisations and thereby not just an instrument but a facilitator of social driven change. We propose a framework and architecture for a context-aware mediated learning system for organisational transformation as an initial exploration and illustration of our perspective.
