Paper Abstract:
|
The novelty of our approach is that we are implementing a well-known efficiency measurement method, used in economic settings, to assess network efficiency. This method is Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA), which is used to measure and compare the relative efficiency of a number of units with multiple input and output items. A sample of 25 universities and technological educational institutes is examined, not only resulting in a ranking according to their relative efficiency, but also in a set of possible quantitative improvement suggestions. The results could function as a guide for network designers and analysts, so that they are able to focus on specific input and output items. |
